Steve Orlowski of Contract Welding is proud of this steel baler that was built for the Ford Motor Co.

BELLEVILLE, MI: Harry Tinsley started Contract Welding & Fabricating, Inc. in 1964. Contract Welding is known for building containers that last like battleships. At one time Harry's entire family worked for the business. However, in recent years, his youngest son Tom and his wife Sandy have pretty much taken over. Sandi is also the president of the Belleville High school Band Boosters. Gina Held helps run the office and recent additions include Pete Karolyi, the design engineer and Steve Orlowski, the sales and marketing manager. The shop is divided into different areas by products manufactured and uses key people to oversee each area. Harry's nephew, Ed helps manage each of these areas. Ed has been employed with the company for 15 years. In addition to the people mentioned, Contract Welding employs about 25 people. Several employees have been with the company for 10, 15 and even 20 + years.

New Caution Decal Required
The ANSI Z245.30 standard committee has developed a new decal that replaces the "Caution: Do Not Play In" decal. This new decal is to be applied to the front and two sides of containers with a capacity of 1 yard and greater. We will have final approval of the new decal by the end of October.
