ICMA Meeting - June 3 New Orleans

After a busy day of traveling and shaking hundreds of hands at Waste Expo, we plan on meeting to discuss critical issues in the container business. The ICMA was formed to help each member become a better container manufacturer. The ICMA has purchasing programs to help members reduce costs and improve margins. We are adding new members to strengthen our presence in the industry. The ICMA developed a hybrid container exclusive to our members. We are now bidding on our first national account. The next ICMA meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on June 6, at the Parc St. Charles Hotel. We will have a presentation on the 5 M's of Production by Scott Lemajeur of Impact Plastics. Requests for agenda items must be in by May 27th.

From body building to building containers

Mark Rudolph is the Purchasing Manager of Rudco Products Inc.; a 3rd generation family owned and operated Waste Handling Equipment manufacturer in Vineland, New Jersey. Mark has a passion for auto racing and Corvettes and he wanted an office chair just like the seat of his Corvette however he could not purchase one anywhere so he built one for himself. This inspired him to launch a second business, RPI Designs. Knowing that there were as many Corvette enthusiasts like him, in 2001, Mark decided to produce and market his idea. In addition to several different model seats, RPI sells Corvette watches, mouse and keyboards, and performance products. Prior to taking his place as the next generation at Rudco, Mark was an aspiring body builder. Although he was devoted to body building, he soon realized that he could not get rich as a body builder. Armed with the knowledge of power lifting and fitness equipment, Mark designed, produced and marketed a line of free weights and selectorized fitness equipment.. Ultimate Power Fitness Equipment reported annual sales of $2 million in which he sold in 1997. Mark and his wife, Gina have two beautiful daughters, 2 year old Madison Alyssa and 5 month old Mia Taylor.
