Waste Expo in
New Orleans June 3
The show was a success for the ICMA. We generated 63 sales leads for the
ICMA 2 yard container and for steel roll offs, front and rear loaders
and self dumping hoppers. The ICMA 2 yard container, along with the Florida
Can round bottom container used in our booth were purchased by Richard's
Disposal of New Orleans. Richard's will be testing these containers at
seafood restaurants which have been eating through his metal containers.
As expected many haulers would like to have our 2 yard plastic container
as a rear loader. We are working to accomplish this by mid summer. The
ICMA hanging banners were visible from anywhere in the convention center.
Our booth drew the attention of national haulers and independent haulers,
potential vendors and our competitors. There were several inquiries from
container manufacturers who would like to join the ICMA. The Waste Expo
was an opportunity for ICMA members to work together and show the industry
that we are a unified group ready to set high standards in container manufacturing.
